Would you like to give your child a special story of their own? SchlummerMärchen makes it easy. Here is a step-by-step guide to creating your first enchanting tale.

Step 1: Sign in without password worries 🔐

Note: Visit schlummermaerchen.de, choose “Login” and follow the steps below.

Option A: Magic link by email

1. Go to schlummermaerchen.de and choose “Login”.
2. Enter your email address.
3. Choose “Send magic link”.
4. Open your inbox and follow the link.
5. You are signed in! ✅

Option B: Google account

1. Choose “Sign in with Google”.
2. Select your Google account.
3. Confirm the requested permission.
4. You are signed in! 🎉

Tip: Signing in with Google is convenient because your profile picture is added automatically.

Step 2: Add your child, the centre of your story 👶

After signing in, you arrive in your account area. Now for the exciting part:

1. Choose “Add a new child” or the plus symbol.
2. Enter a name: What name should your child have in the story?
3. Set their age: The story takes your child's age into account.
4. Choose their gender: Select the appropriate option.
5. Add personal details: Favourite things, hobbies or loved ones can make the story more personal. Only share details you want to use for that purpose.
6. Save your child.

Step 3: Choose a plan that suits you 💎

Step 4: Create your first story 📚✨

Now comes the magical moment:

1. Choose the kind of story:

   • An adventure 🗺️
   • A bedtime story 🌙
   • An educational story 🎓
   • A fantasy story 🦄

2. Pick a theme:

   • Explore categories such as animals, magic, everyday life, nature and seasons.
   • Or choose a random theme for a surprise.

3. Consider your wishes:

   • Would you like a particular lesson or message?
   • Is there something happening in everyday life, such as a new school or a dentist visit?
   • Should the story feel funny, calming or exciting?

4. Choose “Create story” and watch it take shape.

   • Allow some time for creation; completion times vary.
   • You see the text appear as it is generated.
   • Audio can be played once it is ready.

Step 5: Add loved ones ✨ Gold/Platin feature

Would you like parents, siblings or grandparents to appear too? This feature is available with Gold and Platin, and while your free story is still available:

1. Open the area for managing loved ones.
2. Choose to add a loved one.
3. Choose the relationship: Mother, father, sister, brother, grandmother, grandfather, friend and more.
4. Enter a name and relevant details. Share only what you want to use for personalisation.
5. You can then select these loved ones for future stories.

Note: Including familiar people can make a story feel more personal. Your child can experience an adventure alongside the people they love.

The magic begins: What happens next? 🎭

Once you choose “Create story”:

1. Live generation: You see your personal story take shape in real time.
2. Personalisation: Your child's details, such as name, age and favourite things, help shape the tale.
3. Audio generation: A synthetic voice reads the story. The available voices depend on your plan.
4. Image generation: A matching illustration is generated. All three regular plans include illustrations.
5. Saving: Your story is saved to your library so you can return to it.
